in the 60's, but not widely known, the underseat
tray is a basic accessory offering some storage
space.
Made of galvanised steel by
Bit4landies, it replaces the middle seatbox
aluminium cover: it is only closed on its top by the
seat base itself. Under the driver seat is a huge
boxy-space to store a jack, replacement parts, some
towing material and safety equipment.
The middle tray offers a decent
sized and dry storage accessible from the driver
position, good enough to secure all kind of daily
things one can wish to get access to.
The best thing is that its hidden
location is only known by a few: a valuable thing to
a soft top car running open-tilt most of the
summertime. Its location should not let forget that,
just a few centimeters above the gearboxes, it is a
place that gets very hot !
